Services
Surgical Services
Here at Troy Animal Hospital, we offer a wide range of surgical procedures from routine spays, neuters and declaws to more complicated tumor removals and some orthopedic surgery. The safety of our patients is very important to us so we use the best anesthetic available and monitor each pet carefully during surgery. We also provide state-of-the-art laser surgery on many of the procedures we perform.
Dental Cleanings and Extractions
Dental health is as important for our pets as it is for us! Oral abscesses, cavities and gingivitis can lead to other illnesses in animals such as liver disease, heart valve damage and kidney disease. Therefore, we provide full-service dental cleanings complete with ultrasonic scaling and fluoride treatments.
Radiology
Digital x-ray is here! We are proud to offer the newest technology available in radiographs. Our doctors and trained technicians can perform a wide range of radiographic needs right here in our clinic. And with his extensive experience in hip x-rays, Dr. Davis draws clients from as far away as Washington state, California, New York and Florida.
On-Site Laboratory
Our on-site laboratory allows us to run most blood samples right in our clinic. In just a short time, we can have results on heart worm, thyroid or leukemia tests as well as full health screens for geriatric visitors. We also provide ultrasound and EKG with the ability to send x-ray, lab tests, ultrasound and EKG electronically for consultation.
Pharmacy
Our doctors’ expertise is backed by a fully stocked pharmacy to meet the needs of all of our patients. From antibiotics, arthritis pain control and nutritional supplements to flea and tick treatments, heart worm prevention and prescription diets, our doctors and staff will happily answer any questions you may have on the proper way to use any of the products we carry.
We also provide natural supplements for those seeking an alternative to conventional treatments. We try to integrate a holistic approach when possible such as Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (for back problems and limping).
Preventive Care and Vaccinations
An important part of protecting the health of your pet is an annual physical examination and vaccines. Many potentially fatal diseases of dogs and cats can be prevented with yearly inoculations, routine care, and preventive medications.
