It’s no secret that bunnies love to hop and jump. Consider making a little bunny obstacle course. Use kitty tunnels to make paths and mazes, and add an Ottoman or boxes for Floppy jump over. To make it even more fun, set out yummy treats throughout the course.
There are lots of ways to turn cardboard boxes into great bunny toys. Try connecting several boxes to make a bunny castle. Reinforce the walls with extra cardboard to make it sturdier. You can also cut holes in boxes, and then line them up to form a tunnel. Even a tissue box can be lots of fun for Floppy. Just make sure she can’t get her head stuck in it!
Rabbits love to dig! Flowerpots or storage bins filled with dirt can be great fun for Floppy. Needless to say, this could get a bit messy, so it’s a good option for a bunny-safe patio or deck.
Bunnies love throwing things around! Floppy may have a blast playing with toy balls. You can also give your furball certain cat toys, thread spools, or even the lid from a jar.
Foraging toys can be lots of fun for rabbits. Crumple up plain, unprinted paper around a delicious snack, or stuff a paper lunch bag with fresh hay or herbs. You can also string twine between two chairs and use clothespins to hang leafy greens from it.
Always put your pet’s safety first. Never give Floppy anything with sharp edges or small pieces that could cut or choke her. You also want to avoid pine, cedar, and anything that has been painted, varnished, or stained. Ask your vet for more specific information.
