Did you know that there’s a very fun kitty holiday just around the corner? January 22nd is Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! If your cat could voice her most pressing queries, what do you think she would want to know? A Tipp City, OH vet offers some suggestions in this article.
Kitties are very skilled little hunters, and love to pounce and jump on things. However, Fluffy doesn’t really know what is and isn’t safe for her. At some point, you’ll take an unsuitable ‘plaything’ away from your pet. This may be a piece of plastic, a safety pin, or a thread. Don’t be surprised if your furball looks a bit disappointed after!
Your feline buddy is definitely much safer living indoors, where she isn’t exposed to the dangers posed by cars, weather, predators, or other hazards. Fluffy, however, just wants to roll around in the grass and make paw art on your car.
Fido is a wonderful pet, but he doesn’t make a lot of sense to Fluffy. After all, he will eat pretty much everything, never grooms himself, has a habit of chewing things, and actually likes car rides!
Cats are master nappers, and can fall asleep pretty much everywhere. (We may never really figure out how they can get comfortable sleeping on a pair of shoes or in a plant pot, but that’s another topic.) However, at some point Fluffy will fall asleep on something you don’t want covered in cat fur, like on your computer.
Does your cat like playing with the dot from a laser pointer? Fluffy may really enjoy trying to catch her elusive prey … even if she doesn’t understand what it is.
Fluffy’s idea of a monster in the closet may be very, very different from that of a young child. Actually, your kitty is probably much more frightened of the vacuum cleaner than of any ghouls or Boogeymen!
Cats like to keep a very, very close eye on their humans. Fluffy may follow you from room to room, and may even try to ‘visit’ you in the bathroom. Privacy, it seems, just isn’t a concept kitties know or care about!
