New Year’s Resolutions For Cats

Happy New Year! Are you making resolutions this year? If so, your feline buddy will be right by your side—or perhaps in your lap or under your feet—as you strive towards your new goals. Your cute, cuddly, lovable little furball is a lion at heart. Cats are predators by nature, so they have strong instinctive urges to pounce on things. Offer your furry pal lots of fun toys to practice on, and play with her regularly.

Fluffy likes to keep a very close eye on her humans. Your cat may vow to watch you even more closely this year!

This one is for kitties that go outdoors. In the past, we treasured Fluffy for her hunting abilities. Nowadays, most people aren’t quite as thrilled when their kitties proudly leave them ‘presents.’ This is one reason that we recommend keeping your adorable little predator indoors.

Is your pet a lap cat? If so, Fluffy may want to spend even more time cuddling up with you this year. Help your furry companion make this goal by paying lots of attention to her. Pet her, play with her, and let her snuggle up on your lap. This will help your kitty feel safe and loved, and keep that little motor going.

Kitties are super cute when they’re feeling frisky. Fluffy will never stop trying to catch that red dot!

Our feline pals have a reputation for being aloof, but they are actually very grateful for the love and great care we provide them. (They sometimes show their appreciation in odd ways, but that’s another topic.) Fluffy may try to reciprocate by helping you with things like changing sheets, wrapping gifts, packing suitcases, and, of course, cooking.

It doesn’t take a psychic to figure that Fluffy will probably sleep through a huge chunk of 2020. Make sure your kitty has lots of comfy beds and napping spots!
