Dr. Davis grew up surrounded by animals on his family’s 120-acre farm in rural Ohio. Roaming the farm and seeing the wildlife of Ohio firsthand sparked his interest in veterinary medicine, and many years later the profession is still the love of his life!

Lonnie was a member of the 4H club as a young man, actively showing calves and pigs and working on conservation projects. He even won the State Fair Health competition, and was elected President of the State Junior Fair Board the next year!

Dr. Davis graduated from Ohio State University in 1969 with his Bachelors of Science in Agriculture. From there, he attended OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, receiving his DVM degree in June of 1973. After graduation, Lonnie worked in a busy and very successful practice in Louisville, Kentucky, for three years.

In June of 1976, Dr. Davis and his wife Naomi opened Troy Animal Hospital at its current location. Since then, it’s become the highly successful practice it is today, serving the pet owners of Troy, Miami County, and dog breeders and trainers throughout the country.

Dr. Sarah Knight grew up on a farm in Union City, Indiana. When she wasn’t being tormented by her twin brothers, she could be found spending time with her house pets or tending to sheep, rabbits, ducks, chickens, and calves in the barn. For her, a career in animal care simply made sense!

Dr. Knight attended Purdue University to earn her Bachelor’s degree in biology, then headed to Columbus, Ohio to attend veterinary school at Ohio State University. After graduation, she became a mixed-animal practitioner in Versailles, Ohio; a few years later, she decided to transition into small-animal care and found herself here in Troy. It wasn’t long before she became an Associate Veterinarian here at the clinic!

Dr. Knight enjoys soft-tissue surgical work and finds it especially rewarding when her skills help a pet to live a healthy, pain-free life. She’s also fond of meeting puppies and kittens and helping new pet owners get set up with everything they need.

Away from work, Dr. Knight likes hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Mitch, have one pet: a German Shepherd named Chief.

Dr. Moreo has lived all over the U.S. including Arizona, New York and Nevada, but visited her family every year in Troy, Ohio, since she was an infant. After graduating from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, she practiced in Reno, Nevada, and then in Bronx, New York.

Dr. Moreo always wanted to come back to Ohio and, after her daughter was born, her husband and she relocated to Troy. Together they have a cat, a West Highland White Terrier, a Boston Terrier and they recently added a French Bulldog. She enjoys walking with her dogs and daughter, baking and following Ohio State football.
